Notice to RefME Users
As of the 28th of February 2017, RefME will cease to exist.
It has been bought out by Chegg, an education company who operate another academic citation tool called 'Cite This For Me'.
You will have access to your bibliographies on Chegg’s platform until the 1st of June 2017 using your current login details (although you will be asked to change your password). After this, you will have to subscribe to Cite This For Me (at a cost of £6.99 per month) to access your work. RefME/Chegg have provided an FAQ with more details.
Due to the buy-out, AUB Library no longer recommends using RefME, nor do we endorse Cite This For Me.
What you can do for yourselves
In the first instance, we recommend that you export all of your references from RefME and save them in a Word document i.e. to your OneDrive.
You can also save your references as a .ris file (a format commonly used by other bibliographic software) by clicking on the Zotero option in the export menu. This will allow you to upload your references to a different platform in the future.
What we can do for you
While we are investigating a possible alternative to RefME, please use the AUB Referencing Guide for advice and guidance.
