If the AUB Library does not hold, or provide access to, a book, journal article or other document you need, it is usually possible to get a copy from another library.
Before making an inter-library loan request please use the Library Search to see if it is available in print or in electronic format.
Please also check the Bournemouth University Library catalogue. AUB has an agreement in place with Bournemouth University whereby full-time staff and students can join and have limited borrowing rights but this does not include access to electronic resources or e-books.
To request an inter-library loan please complete an online request form or an inter library loan card at the Library counter.
Requests are often available for collection in one week, but they can also take up to two weeks depending on the supplier. Please provide as much information as possible when making your request. The number of requests will be limited at the discretion of the library.
Renewing a book on inter-library loan may be possible, but is at the discretion of the lending library. If you would like to request a renewal of a book on inter-library loan, please complete the online renewal form.
Fines of 50p per day will be applied to the late return of inter library loan books. Borrowers will be liable for replacement costs in the event of a book being lost or damaged.
